Today, the world is so immersed in gratifying the self, to the point of excess, that it does not stop to consider the end results. Greed, avarice, envy and even wars abound as a result of selfishness (James 3:14-15; 4:1-5). This attitude of selfishness is ungodly and it must not be a part of our lives. Instead, we are to follow the perfect unselfish example of Jesus Christ, even if we have to lose our lives for doing so.
