Discouragement and Depression (Part 11 Job) Elihu - The Role of a Pastor

We learn from Ephesians 4 that God gave some to be pastors and teachers or better stated, teaching shepherds or shepherds who teach. A pastor, by profession, is not a psychologist, psychiatrist, or medical doctor. A pastor is one whose profession focuses on teaching God’s Word for the edification or building up in love those called by God. When we look at the role of Elihu in the book of Job, he seems to fit the role of a pastor, or teaching shepherd rather perfectly. What can we learn from this young pastor about discouragement and depression?
