Colossians and the Holy Spirit of God (Part 2) — History

The Bible is not just a book of History, if it were only history, we could read it, glean lessons from it, and either take or leave what we learn according to our own discretion. But since the Bible and the letter by Paul to Colossae is history AND Holy Scripture, we must take all that is given and examine our lives through its lens, and find the applicability to our life, both spiritually and morally, and put in the effort, through the power of the Holy Spirit, to change who were are into what God wants us to be. 

Part 2 covers very, very briefly the background of Colossians, focusing on where it is located—taking us on a virtual Google Earth PowerPoint from Southern Florida to Colossae. My purpose in covering the background is to add an important perspective for us that Colossae was not that different from our cities today. Certainly, it was smaller in scale, but human nature and Satan being the same, the challenges morally and doctrinally are the same.
