Colossians and the Holy Spirit of God (Part 1) — Outline: Faith, Grace and Peace
The purpose of this series is to challenge us to think deeply about how to use God’s Holy Spirit, and to use it on a daily basis to become more like God the Father and Jesus Christ.
This letter to Colossae is from Paul and Timothy, written to this small and seemingly inconsequential church. But Paul writes a very powerful and deeply spiritual letter to them and begins this greeting with three very important aspects of God’s Holy Spirit—Faith, Grace and Peace! These three gifts of God are given and implemented or executed or carried out by the power of God’s Holy Spirit—not only in the lives of Paul and Timothy, but in the lives of all of the saints. With that as the greeting, Paul then beings to express in detail the characteristics that faithful saints of God should manifest who receive grace and peace from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ through the power of the Holy Spirit.
